Migrate to Elitehost

We can easily migrate your website over to our servers if you are currently hosting with another provider. If your site currently runs on a cPanel control panel, we can take a full backup and simply restore this on our systems, this would be free. If your site runs on a custom or other control panel we can still help.

You will need to contact us after placing your order or include exising cPanel login details in the order notes. We can also handle the migration of your domain names over to our management which will ensure minimal downtime during the transfer process. SSL certificates provide you with a competitive advantage by giving your visitors confidence that all of their personal data is protected including credit card details. We currently recommend a RapidSSL certificate as an entry level solution.

How long does it take to setup my account?

Accounts are setup instantly if paid by Credit Card, PayFast or PayPal. EFT payments are manually processed once proof is sent to billing@elitehost.co.za. You will receive your welcome email with all the necessary details within an hour of your payment during business hours and up to 8 hours after hours.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the following forms of payment: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Credit Card (MasterCard and Visa), PayPal and Debit Order.

My website is currently hosted with another provider, will you be able to move my data over?

Yes, we offer a free migration service, this process is streamlined by our expert technical support team! We will move your website files, databases, emails (if possible), etc. from your old web hosting account to your new Elitehost account. Once your order is activated, simply submit a ticket to migrations department requesting the migration. Please include your existing login details that we would require. This only applies to shared and reseller hosting accounts making use of cPanel. Please email migrations@elitehost.co.za to discuss VPS migrations.

What is your minimum contract period?

We have no set minimum contract period, our hosting is billed from month to month, or at your selected billing cycle.

What do I do if I’m not happy with your service?

We're confident that you will not be disappointed with our service. However, in the event that you are disappointed with our service, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee.

Do you allow the hosting of adult content?

We have no problems in hosting adult e-commerce websites on our servers. However there are some restrictions on what can be classed as "adult content"; the content must be legal, and comply with SA laws. Anything that we consider too graphic or depicts the abuse of children, your account will be suspended immediately. Membership based adult websites/forums are strictly disallowed. If you're unsure please contact sales.

I’ve been told to secure my shopping website hosting with an SSL certificate, how do I do this?

An SSL certificate is an encrypted method which encrypts any data between the server and the client. We can provide you with an SSL certificate for R240/year including installation. This price excludes the static IP address which will be required to run the SSL certificate.

Can I upgrade my hosting package in the future?

You can do this automatically and instantly through our client area, my.elitehost.co.za - we only charge you the pro rata difference in price.

What is your uptime guarantee?

We offer a 99.9%+ uptime guarantee as per our Service Level Agreement (SLA). If your site isn't available 99.9% of the time within a given month, we will give you a pro-rated credit for the downtime.
